What would CarePath initial projects look like?
Women Education
Project The goal of this project is to provide scholarships
to girls and women in Liberia to pursue post secondary education. The initial goal is to sponsor 30 female students .We have
selected the Methodist University Nursing School, Stella Morris College and the Symthe Institute as the schools where
our scholarships will be used. We will encourage the scholarship beneficiaries to pursue studies in Nursing, Education and
Social Work and Engineering. These areas are very critical to the development process in Liberia. We intend to extend the
scholarship program to the rural areas in the future.
The principal of the J.W. Pearson School Mr. James Saye Kadaimie has agreed for his school to participate
in the CarePath School Adoption initiative. Under this agreement CarePath will raise funds to provide the school with armchairs
and blackboards. The assistance to the school will cover other areas of needs that will be identified in the future.J.W. Pearson is located in Ganta, Nimba County. The school
has 4,000 students from K-12. The student is made of about 65% boys and 35 % girls. This school is over crowded and the provision
of armchairs will ease the current seating problem. Pearson High School is the only public school in Ganta, the most populated
town in Nimba County. The school was initially built to house a far smaller number of students ,but due to the explosion in
student population it has far exceeded that initial capacity.
